<p>A light control circuit for a camcorder having a microcomputer and a light controlled for illuminating the scene to be filmed according to the scene brightness is disclosed. The circuit includes a record signal delay unit, a light on/off control unit, an illuminance detection unit and a light control unit. The record signal delay unit retards the start of the recording with a predetermined delay time, necessary for adjustment of the light brightness. The light on/off unit is responsive to a pause switch for turning the light off when the recording stops. The illumination detection unit measures the illuminance of the environment and adjusts the brightness of the light accordingly. The light control unit is responsive to the light on/off and illumination detection units for controlling the operation of the light associated with the camcorder.</p> |
