PURPOSE:To suppress the damage and erasure of data due to an unforeseen accident, by measuring the change quantity of the data generated by the editing of the data, and updating automatically a bit of spare information when the change quantity arrives at a stipulated quantity. CONSTITUTION:A system is constituted of a keyboard (input device) 301 which inputs a bit of information to perform the edit of the data, a display device 302 to confirm the content of the edit, a controller 303, a main memory device 304 which stores the data in editing, and an auxiliary memory device 305 which preserves an edited data. In a computer system consisting of those devices, the measurement of the change quantity of a processed data is performed, and the automatic updating of the bit of spare information is performed when the quantity arrives at the stipulated quantity. In this way, even when the damage of the edited data in the main memory device 304 is generated by the accident, the bit of spare information is stored in a data in editing storing area 403 in the auxiliary memory device 305, and the data damaged at a maximum level is decided by the stipulated value of the change quantity of the data. |
