PURPOSE:To enhance the measuring accuracy in a high concn. region, by constituting a monolithic type anode so that an enzyme membrane contacts with a specimen and an oxygen permeable membrane contacts with an open air. CONSTITUTION:Platinum or gold is applied to the surface of an oxygen permeable membrane 11 composed of a polytetrafluoroethylene film having a thickness of 10-100mum by sputtering vapor deposition to form a metal layer 12. Further, a composition prepared by mixing 350 units of GOD, 20ml of 10% BSA and 1ml of 25% glutaraldehyde is applied to said metal film 12 to form an enzyme membrane 13 with a thickness of 10-100mum. A permeable membrane 14 is composed of a polycarbonate membrane and cuts off protein in a specimen solution. The monolithic type anode thus constituted is arranged so as to turn the permeable membrane 11 to the outside to constitute a flow type biosensor. By this method, the immobilized enzyme can be contacted not only with the specimen but also with oxygen transmitted through the membrane and the deficiency of oxygen for metabolizing a high concn. substrate is replenished and the enhancement of measuring accuracy can be achieved. |
