<p>PURPOSE:To maintain the emission life property of a cathode in a good condition and to obtain a cathode-ray tube of a long service life, by furnishing a gas dope getter with a large gas absorption capacity. CONSTITUTION:A gas dope getter 9 has a gas absorption capacity much larger than that of a non-gas-dope getter, and in case of CO gas, for example, it has the gas absorption capacity about two times that of the non-gas-dope getter. Since plenty of gas, resulting from the heat, the electron shock, and the like from a reflection membrane 7 formed on a shadow mask by a spray, is absorved by the gas dope getter 9, the poisoning of the cathode is reduced, the emission life property of the cathode is maintained in a good condition, and the service life of the cathode-ray tube is extended.</p> |
