PURPOSE:To efficiently register a document and to increase the number of registered sheet by thinning image data other then a optionally extracted part in a same document. CONSTITUTION:An image whole memory 7 temporarily stores a read document and sends the stored document to a display memory 11 and a display 3 displays the image received through the display memory 11. The image is observed and checked by an operator, an image extracting part 29 is designated by a pointer control circuit and a pointer 6, and when the area is surrounded a frame, the designated address in an image extracting part 29 is stored in an extracted part address memory 10 under control based upon an image processor 4. The image data of the whole image 27 stored in a whole image memory 7 are thinned at a fixed interval, the data obtained after thinning are stored in a thinning memory 8 and the thinned data are discharged. Provided that the image data in the image data in the image extracting part 29 are stored in an extracted part memory 9 and then divided into data in the memory 8 and data in the memory 9 to store the divided data on an optical disk 5. |
