PURPOSE:To always maintain a uniform toner concn. extending over the width direction, even if width of a transfer material is varied, by detecting the toner concn., feeding a toner of the quantity corresponding to a deviation of a detected value and a set value, to a developing part, and also, replenishing the toner extending over the width corresponding to a size of the transfer material. CONSTITUTION:A concn. signal which is detected from a toner concn. sensor 21 is sent to a comparing circuit 113 through a concn. detecting circuit 112, and compared with a set value from a setting device 114. A CPU 115 receives its deviation signal, and a signal of a width size of transfer paper from a photosensor 116, turns forward or backward a toner replenishing roller 14 in which roller pieces 14a, 14c are coupled or detached to or from a roller piece 14b through a one-way clutch 100 in accordance with the rotational direction, and replenishes uniformly a toner by width corresponding to a size of transfer paper. |
