A cluster bomb in which the functioning of a time fuse (1) in the nose cone (2) thereof permits to transmit a signal to the tail stabiliser section (II) causing activation of a drag means (12) contained therein. Simultaneously, or prior to this, the front end of the bomb (5) is opened by any of a number of means. The drag means (12) brings about a sudden deceleration of the bomb causing the munition charge (6) located in the body (11) to move towards and to leave the nose co ne (2) as a result of its own inertia.
