<p>A device for medical diagnostic testing and application of pharmaceuticals such as topical application or supplying measured doses for ingestion includes an elongated stem member (12) with a removable cover (14) enclosing a part of the length of the stem member. The end (24) of the stem member within the cover can be used as a diagnostic testing element or as a pharmaceutical applicator.
