<p>PURPOSE:To permit the heat-up control of a water heater when the normal detection of timer-ON is impossible, by a method wherein a heat generating body is connected to a contact forcibly after a given time has elapsed when the detection of the conduction of the timer is impossible due to the abnormality of the contact of a time switch even after entering into a midnight electric power supplying time band. CONSTITUTION:In a normal time switch 4, the switch 4 should be put ON again when 16 hours have elapsed after putting the switch 4 OFF, therefore, there is some abnormality in the time switch 4 when it is not put ON after elapsing 16 hours. When the detecting signal of a power source detecting circuit 40, which is inputted into an input circuit 26, is the OFF signal of the time switch 4 due to the adhesion of some foreign substance to the contact of the switch or the corrosion of the surface of the contact in spite of the ON operation of the time switch 4, a heat generating body 2 is connected forcibly as a load and are discharge is generated between the contacts whereby the heating up of the title heater may be carried out and normal heat-up control may be effected from next time.</p> |
