The light from three white light sources (1,2,3) is filtered (6,7,8) to produce the three primary colours, red, blue and green. The light passes through an infra-red heat filter into a diffusion housing (10) and out (11) via the negative or colour transparency (12) and the projecting lens (13). Below the lens is the tray for the print paper. Below the tray are a number of the ends of thin optical fibres (15). The thin fibres are terminated in a larger light guide (16). At the end of the larger guide are colour filters (7) which are in front of detector cells (18). The detector cell outputs are amplified (19) and converted (22) to digital form before being fed to a microprocessor (23). A movable sensor (28) can also be positioned at any place on the tray. The operator uses a control panel (24) to adjust the currents fed to the lamps via triacs (2s). By use of the controls on the panel, the operator can adjust levels of magenta, green 'cool' and 'warm' and, by combined use of two of the controls, of levels of red, blue, cyan and yellow.
|
