PURPOSE:To obtain a large-sized open-cell porous material having complicate shape in high dimensional accuracy, by preparing an emulsion slip containing a polyamide curing agent and a modified amine curing agent and/or amine curing agent as the curing agent and curing the slip in water-containing state. CONSTITUTION:An emulsion slip is produced by stirring a mixture of (A) a modified polyamine curing agent and/or amine curing agent produced by modifying a polyamine curing agent which is a primary amine curing agent, etc., having >=1 primary amine in a molecule with a modification agent (e.g. acrylonitrile), (B) a polyamide curing agent obtained by reacting a carboxylic acid (e.g. monomer fatty acid) with a polyamine (e.g. polyalkylene polyamine), (C) a glycidyl epoxy resin, (D) a filler and (E) water. The slip is cast into a water- impermeable mold and cured in the water-containing state. The amount of the component A is 0.5-100pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the component B.
