PURPOSE:To provide adequate strength to rotational torque and at the same time, prevent occurrence of printing shift by integrally forming an external peripheral layer of high density non-foamed material and an internal layer of low density foamed material with a central metallic core fixed using a high density non-foamed material. CONSTITUTION:A metallic core 2 penetrates into the center of a platen roller 1 which is an integrally formed body of foamed resin consisting of a high density elastic non-foamed material 3 as an external peripheral layer and a low density elastic foamed material as an internal layer with a high density elastic non-foamed material 5 fixed around the core 2 as a center. Since the surroundings of the core 2 are fixed with the high density non-foamed material 5, adequate strength can be secured against a rotational torque. Further the external peripheral layer and the internal layer are integrally fixed to each other, so that the external peripheral layer does not shift relatively and subsequently no printing shift occurs. |
