PURPOSE:To enable a multi-color image to be available by giving a prearranged amount of heat and light energy to image-forming elements suspended on a suspending member with the application of a magnetic field, forming a magnetic image in accordance with an image signal and removing image-forming elements of a non-image formation part from the suspending member according to magnetic characteristics. CONSTITUTION:A pulse charge is first applied to the surface of a drum 1 by a primary charger 2, and capsule ink 8 is beforehand negatively charged by friction charging in a coater 9. In addition, capsule ink 8 containing magenta and cyan coloring agents is uniformly dispersed with two kinds of capsule ink 8 applied to the surface of the drum 1 uniformly and thinly. Next light, heat and magnetic energies are selectively given a recording means 4, e.g. laser beam is not applied to the capsule ink 8 which is present in a position corresponding to magenta of an image signal by controlling a scanner motor 10c and an AO modulator 10b when magenta recording to be performed, while the beam is applied to a part corresponding to a non-transfer part. |
