PURPOSE:To easily detect a lapping amount of a work during its machining, by providing a displacing member, which is integrally rotated and vertically displaced with an upper surface plate, on the upper surface of said upper surface plate and a dimension measuring control device which has a detecting means detecting the vertical displacement of said displacing member' CONSTITUTION:A work 12 is lapped between an upper surface plate 3 and a bottom surface plate 4. Here a machine, which turns the upper surface plate 3 and the bottom surface plate 4 in a reverse direction to each other, gives a planetary mo.ion to a carrier 7 and the same motion also to the work 12. And if the point end part of a measuring contractor 25 is brought into contact with a reference point 22a of a displacing member 22, a peak value, being detected by a detecting means 24, is also reduced in accordance with the displacement of the displacing member 22 to the bottom due to a decrease of thickness of the work 12 by its lapping. If the thickness of the work 12 reaches the finish dimension, the peak value decreases to the minimum value, that is, zero set value, and if the detecting means 24 detects the zero set value, the machine, in which a signal is output to a driving gear 10 by a dimension measuring control device 20, stops the action of a machining mechanism 1 finishing the lapping. |
