PURPOSE:To manufacture a simple and inexpensive printing plate chiefly for light printing by processing photosensitive paper obtd. by forming a layer contg. a diazonium salt on a support with a developer contg. a hydroxybenzene compound having a lipophilic group. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer contg. a diazonium salt and a water-soluble binder is formed on a waterproof support. The surface of the photosensitive layer is imagewise exposed with a diazo copier or the like, and the layer is developed with an aqueous alkali soln. contg. a soluble coupler compound having a lipophilic group to couple the diazonium salt in the unexposed part with the coupler compound. The unexposed part is made liphophilic, and an offset printing plate is obtd. A compound contained in a known diazo copying material may be used as the diazonium salt. The coupler compound includes 2-hydroxy-4-sulfolaurylbenzene. |
