PURPOSE:To enable to accurately perform a function trimming by predicting the characteristic change rate of each stage to the deviation of the characteristic change rate of a work, and calculating the cutting length adapted to each characteristic. CONSTITUTION:The characteristic value W0 of a portion to be treated of a work W is measured, and whether it falls within an adjusting target range (S0+ or - T0) or not is discriminated by a processor 5, where S0 is the adjusting target value, and T0 is a tolerance. The maximum preset characteristic change rate of the work W is betamax, the initial change rate predicting constant is (n), the predicting characteristic change rate at the initial trimming time is betaop, and the trimming length L0 of the initial time is calculated in accordance with the equation. A laser beam scanner 4 is controlled to cut the part to be trimmed in length L0, and the characteristic value X1 is measured. The characteristic change rate beta0, the predicting characteristic change rate of next time beta1p, and the trimming length L1 of next time is calculated in accordance with the equation. The calculation, the trimming and the measurement are repeated until the characteristic value Xi falls within the adjusting target range. |
