The method consists of using a rotating drum grinding mill with a screening wall inside the drum. The wall (7) has an opening (8) for passing a mixed material fraction of particle size less than or equal to the opening size. The mixed material fraction is segregated in a classifying device (13) into coarse, medium coarse and fine material fractions. The three fractions are then taken out from the classifying device. The coarse and medium coarse are used for charging for grinding but if not required are reduced to sub-critical size for renewed grinding.
