PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of image quality due to the occurrence of voids and to ensure good adhesion between a toner image and a recording paper by executing flash fixing with a toner using an epoxy resin modified with epsilon-caprolactone as a binder resin. CONSTITUTION:Flash fixing is carried out by using the epoxy resin obtained by modifying an epoxy compound having at least >=2 epoxy groups in one molecule with the epsilon-caprolactone as the binder resin in an amount of >=90wt% of the toner, and as a colorant a dye or a pigment in an amount of 1-10wt% of the toner. The bisphenol A type epoxy prepolymer modified with the epsilon- caprolactone is used for the flash fixing toner binder, thus permitting the occurrence of voids in a fixed image to be remarkably prevented without lowering fixability, as compared with the toner composed of the bisphenol A type diglycidyl ether polymer alone having a melting point same as said toner. |
