PURPOSE:To obtain a magnet having improved thermal resistance and a high thermal deformation temperature applicable to high temperature applications, by utilizing Nylon 46 resin as a binder, mixing and kneading it in a certain range of proportions with ferritic or rare-earth magnetic powder to produce a resin magnet. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic powder and Nylon 46 resin are used as main components, and 0.3 % by weight of a coupling agent, 0.3 % by weight of a lubricant and small amounts of a plasticizer, a stabilizing agent and others are added thereto. This material is kneaded and injection molded in magnetic field to obtain a resin magnet. Strontium-ferrite powder is utilized as ferritic magnetic powder, or 2-17 Sm-Co alloy powder is utilized as rareearth magnetic powder. The Nylon 4b resin is used as a binder in a proportion of 5-20 % by weight. If the proportion of the binder is lover than 5 % by weight, the material can not be shaped appropriately. On the contrary, if the proportion exceeds 20 % by weight, the amount of the magnetic powder is decreased relatively thereto and the characteristics of the resulting magnet become insufficient. |
