发明名称 METHOD OF CO PURIFICATION
摘要 PURPOSE:To effectively purify CO, by utilizing a portion of a mixed gas comprising CO as a major component after H2O removal in a particular adsorption column and a portion of a gas after O2 removal in a reactor column and thereafter recycling them into a raw material feed line. CONSTITUTION:A raw gas 1, i.e., a mixed gas comprising CO as a major component, is compressed by a compressor 2. The compressed gas undergoes preliminary dehumidification, removal of oleaginous matter, removal of trace impurity, desulfurization, etc., in a preliminary treatment unit 3 and thereafter introduced into a plurality of adsorption columns 4a-4b packed with an adsorbent capable of not only selectively adsorbing H2O at relatively low temps. but also desorbing H2O at relatively high temps. to thereby accomplish the adsorption removal of H2O. A portion of the mixed gas is introduced into the adsorption columns 4a-4b for the cooling of the columns 4a-4b and then recycled to a raw material line, while the other major portion of the mixed gas is heated with a heat exchanger (heater) 5 and then introduced into a reactor column 6 packed with a catalyst capable of selectively reacting O2 with CO. In the column, O2 is converted to CO2 and removed. A portion of the gas from the reactor column is introduced into the adsorption columns 4a-4b to thereby raise the temp. within the adsorption columns 4a-4b, whereby the H2O adsorbed onto the adsorbent in the preceding step is desorbed. The gas thus obtd. is then recycled to a raw material feed line. The other major portion of the gas from the reactor column is cooled by a heat exchanger (cooler) 7a, thereby recovering CO.
