PURPOSE:To eliminate roll changing and to correct an imbalance between flange legs by providing one of a couple of rolls with a working surface which guides and supports the flange inner face of a rolled stock, also providing the other roll of the roll couple with a working surface which forms flange end parts, and setting the position of the roll couple up and down reversely to each other. CONSTITUTION:A gap M between an upper and a lower roll at the P point is set to that M=K+W (W is a web thickness). A flange leg K and a flange end part of the upper half side of a rolled stock are formed. Then, the flange leg K and a flange end part of the lower half side of the stock are also formed by the reversely installed rolls against the above roll positions. By performing both the steps, the uniform leg K of upper and lower, right and left flanges of the stock is obtained, so that less eccentric products are produced even for flanges having inherently different leg lengths. |
