PURPOSE:To prevent the sloped side walls of the solar pond from being heated to high temperatures by sunshine thereby to make it possible to protect a non- convection layer in the vicinity of the side wall by providing reflection plates at the side wall parts of the non-convection layer. CONSTITUTION:Reflection plates 4 are provided at sloped side wall parts of a non-convection layer, consisting of a upper part convection layer 1, a non- convection layer 2 and a heat storage layer 3. It is not necessary to install the reflection plates 4 around the entire periphery of the solar pond, but they may be installed particularly only at the parts having a possibility of the side wall temperature being elevated. Further, the refletion plate is not necessarily to have a planar shape but a continuous reflection sheet such as an aluminum sheet may be extended to the side wall. Every time the reflection plate is stained or periodically, it is quiety pulled up and cleaned, and then again may be installed quietly. |
