<p>PURPOSE:To provide the title compsn. which gives a water ink having a brilliant metallic color, power of dispersing Al powder, long-term stability and fixability, containing water as a dispersion medium, Al paste, specified paste and a water- dispersible pigment. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. (on a solid basis) acrylic emulsion (a) having a viscosity of not higher than 5,000cps, a pH of 7-9 and freeze-than stability of not higher than -5 deg.C, composed of, e.g., acrlic/styrene copolymer emulsion particles having an average particle size of not larger than 0.3mu and an anionic charge, is blended with 0.5-5pts.wt. partially saponified PVA (b) having a viscosity of 20-60cps [4% (by weight; the same applied hereinbelow) aq.soln.] and/or water-soluble cellulose resin (b) having a viscosity of 4,000-6,000cps (2% aq. soln.) in such a proportion as to give a solid content of 20-35% and a pH or 7.0-9.5, thus obtaining paste (B). 8-25% Al paste (A) contg. 65-75% Al powder having an average particle size of 5-15mu is blended with 8-15% (on a solid basis) component B and 0-15% (on a solid basis) water-dispersible pigment paste (C) having an average particle of not larger than 5mu in the presence of water as a dispersion medium.</p> |
