<p>PURPOSE:To prevent generation of a loop at rear end passage by giving a finishing rolling mill driving motor a speed variation canceling a speed increase of a rolled stock due to a sectional shape variation in the stock rear end rolling when the stock rear end reaches a prescribed position in a finishing rolling mill. CONSTITUTION:Passage of a wire stock rear end is detected by a 1st wire stock rear end detector 9 and a passing position and time of the rear end are tracked based on the above detection signal and a speed signal of an upstream stand 8. When the rear end reaches a proper position in a finishing rolling mill 6, a rotation reducing control signal is outputted, a rotation reducing signal contact 17 is closed, a rotation reducing amount set by a rotation reducing signal setter 18 is converted into a ramp function by a ramp function generator 19 and the ramp function is inputted to a speed control circuit 20 to reduce the number of rotations of a driving motor 7 through an ASR 21 and an ACR 22 based on the above tracking. Then, passage of the rear end through the mill 6 is detected by a 2nd wire stock rear end detector 10, a rotation reset control signal is outputted to open the contact 17 and to return the number of rotations of the motor 7 to the former set rotations.</p> |
