<p>PURPOSE:To adsorb and remove harmful gas efficiently, by either setting potassium dichromate acidified with sulfuric acid on a solid carrier comprising inorganic silicate granulated in an adequate form as main component or filling the same in a column or the like as it is. CONSTITUTION:Chemical liquid adjusted to a fixed concentration of potassium dichromate acidified with sulfuric acid solely or, if necessary, also of potassium permanganate is carried on a carrier comprising inorganic silicate granulated in adequate shapes as a main component to prepare an adsorbent for harmful gas. Also, as another method, an adsorbent may be prepared by filling adsorp tive substances such as potassium dichromate, potassium permanganate acidified with sulfuric acid in an adsorption tower in two, three or several layers piled up from the bottom upward. As said solid carrier, diatomaceous earth, inorganic carbon, charcoal and the like are most suitable, and approximately 1-2mm particle diameter and approximately 0.54-0.57kg/l bulk density are preferred.</p> |
