The invention relates to machine slideways, particularly for machine tools. The slideway 1 has a cross-section in the shape of a right-angled trapezium ABCD. It is partially inset, via its acute dihedral angle "a", into a conjugate groove 6, 7 of a support 4. It is fixed by screws 11 located perpendicularly to the outer face BC of the slideway opposite its oblique face AD.
