PURPOSE:To reduce the size and power consumption of a personal certificate medium handling mechanism section, by providing a means which produces identification codes that change each time in accordance with the use of the personal certificate medium when a transaction is made and recording the identification codes produced from the identification code producing means on a recording body on a transacting device side at every transaction. CONSTITUTION:When an IC card 1 is inserted into a card reading section 3 to the position controller by a card insertion guide 4, a contactor 5 detects the insertion and comes to contact with a card terminal section 2. Then the contactor 5 reads the personal identifying information stored in the memory of the IC card 1 and transmits the information to a control section 6. The control section 6 performs a normal transacting processing in accordance with the received personal identifying information and input information from a keyboard and transmits the transacting content and an updated identifying code produced by an identifying code producing means to a journal printing section 7 as printing data so as to cause the printing section 7 to print the data on a journal 8. Therefore, the mechanism section of a device handling the personal certificate medium can be reduced in size and power consumption. |
