Sealing device for the intermediate bearing of a roller with multiple supports, especially for a roller of a continuous slab-casting machine, formed of two assemblies mounted on the journal 12 carrying the bearing 16a, 16b on each side of the latter. In order to increase the durability of such a device, each assembly consists of an open seal 18, 20 produced from an elastic material and housed in an annular casing 24, made in two parts, which surrounds the said seal and whose dimensions are such that sealing is ensured between the seal and the walls of the casing, and by an O-ring 26 compressed between the said casing and the bearing 16a, 16b. <IMAGE>
