PURPOSE:To decrease a coupling loss and to prevent the deterioration in recording capacity at the time of recording by providing drawing out electrodes for connecting a switching circuit between a thin film magnetic head and thin film transformer. CONSTITUTION:The recording current from a recording circuit is connected through a switching circuit to the electrodes 83, 85 and flows directly to the thin film magnetic head 3 without flowing through the thin film transformer 9 at the time of recording. On the other hand, the switching circuits short- circuits the electrodes 84, 85 and the reproduction signal stepped up through the transformer 9 is obtd. from the electrodes 81, 82 at the time of reproducing. The deterioration in the recording capacity at the time of recording which is generated when the thin film transformer is adopted (mainly the decrease of the sectional area of the core to the value smaller than the value required at the time of recording by the adoption of the thin film core and the consequent generation of core saturation) is thereby prevented and the effective step up of the reproduction signal is possible. |
