DRIVING METHOD OF SOLID-STATE IMAGE PICKUP ELEMENT

PURPOSE:To obtain a good picture which scarcely generates a noise by constituting so that a signal storage time in an image pickup part of an element can be selected optionally. CONSTITUTION:This method is constituted so that a time T1 which is shorter then one vertical synchronizing period T is obtained as a charge storage time of an image pickup part of a frame transfer type solid-state image pickup element. This time T1 is varied optionally by operating a digital code switch 17 and changing a preset value to a counter 14. Accordingly, even in case of executing an image pikup of an object which is moving at a high speed even under a high luminance, a good image pickup signal is obtained.
