<p>The process consists of (a) preparing separately 2 chromogenic thermosensitive liquids, namely a leuco-dye liq. and a dispersion of acid material; (b) adding an aq. soln. of water soluble polymer to each; (c) milling the mixts. until the dispersed particles are below 3 microns, adding filler anti-foaming agent or thermoplastic dispersions as required; (d) dispersing both liquids and applying to a flexible carrier, e.g. paper; (e) preparing a protective liq. by dispersing silica powder with a thermoplastic material and a water-soluble binder polymer; and (f) applying this liq. over the carrier as a cover material. The prod. is of use for tele-printers, measuring instruments, computer printers, facsimile transmission, thermographic copiers and coded labels.</p> |
