The invention relates to a windrower for walnuts, sweet chestnuts, hazelnuts or other fruit on the ground. The subject of the invention is a windrower for walnuts, sweet chestnuts, hazelnuts or other fruits on the ground, characterised in that it includes, carried by the framework of a vehicle such as a tractor 1 or the like, a pressurised air box 3 located at the front of the vehicle, at a slight and adjustable height above the ground, fitted with a duct 6 for blowing air, generating a horizontal layer blowing tranversely to the vehicle, over substantially the entire width of the said air box, and including internal deflectors 7 dividing the expelled air into elementary air flows 9 directed obliquely with respect to the direction of forward travel 2 of the vehicle, a pressurised air source 5 connected to the said air box 3, and means 10, 19 arranged laterally to the vehicle and to the front, so as to stop and windrow the nuts 12 or the like which are pushed by the said elementary air flows.
