<p>PURPOSE:To make a magnetic head well scan on a main recording track even at the time of high-speed reproducing by controlling a capstan motor by means of a difference in the output levels of special signals reproduced from the main recording track and a recording track neighboring it. CONSTITUTION:An azimuth head contacts the tape area of a pilot signal B2f12 by its larger part of area, and that of a pilot signal A1f12 with its smaller part of area, in case where the level of a detection output alpha1 is higher than that of a detection output alpha2 and where the difference level (+) between these two levels is supplied to a capstan motor from a second sample holding circuit, the rotational speed of the capstan motor is increased. But in case where the azimuth head contacts the tape area of the pilot signal B2f12 by its very small part of area but contacts that of the pilot signal A1f12 by its very large part of area, where the level of the detection output alpha1 is much lower than that of the detection output alpha2 and the difference level (-) between the two is supplied to the capstan motor from the sample holding circuit, the rotational speed of the capstan motor is decreased. In such a way, the automatic control is executed so that a servo signal is always level.</p> |
