摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a steering wheel core material made of FRP of which the boss part can be formed into a desired shape, by a method wherein a shaping cap is preliminarily mounted to the back of a boss metal jig in a non- engageable and bufferred state and subsequently moved to be pushed-in into the boss metal part to be matched with the engaging part of said jig. CONSTITUTION:After a fiber is wound to form a laminate 81, a cap 9 is revolved by 90 deg. to match the pin part 92 of said cap 9 with the hole 22 of the boss metal jig 2 and subsequently pushed in the boss metal jig 2 to be engaged therewith. By this operation, the cap 9 falls by a height (h) and the peripheral wall part 91 of the cap 9 presses the periphery of the boss part of the laminate 81 along with the falling of said cap 9 to perform partial compression molding. Next, by curing the laminate 81 under heating, a steering wheel core material of which the boss part is formed into a predetermined dimensional shape is obtained.
