<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a picture more easier to see with least noise bars even during or immediately after the shifting of the tape running speed by constituting the titled device so that the tracking control can be executed even at the time of shifting the running speed of a magnetic tape from a first speed to a second speed. CONSTITUTION:In a shifting from the normal reproduction mode to the cuing mode is commanded against a control circuit 22, the circuit 22 latches the command at the timing of the edge of a head switching pulse arriving following the command, and at the time when a prescribed time t1 lapses after the timing of edge of the field F1, the circuit 22 adds the multiplication ratio against the magnetic tape running speed in normal operation by one to make it two. At a time when a multiplication ratio modifying signal is inputted from the control circuit 22, a generation circuit 20 outputs a control signal to a sample holding circuit 17 to make it hold the tracking error signal immediately preceding. This state of holding is maintained until a prescribed time t2 lapses after the starting point of time of following field F2, and after the said lapse of time t2, the state is modified to a sampling state for a period of time t3. The above- mentioned action is repeated similarly until the ratio is further modified.</p> |
