Marking strips, provided on the lower side with an adhesive primer, are attached to a road surface by laying the strip over a flame which also contacts the road surface in which the flame both dehydrates the surface and melts the adhesive primer, the two actions being controllable by orientation of the flat cross-section of the flame, the shape of the flame being created by the pressure leaving the nozzle. |
