Telephone number directory and connection thereof to a subscriber station with number memory

A telephone number directory for connection to a subscriber station which is characterised by a combination of a telephone subscriber station which contains all electronic facilities for storing call numbers and for automatically sending these out, with a telephone number directory which contains an electronic device by means of which signals for initial letters selected at the telephone number directory are transmitted to a processor in the telephone station, the lines available for each initial letter being easily legibly numbered through (for example from 1 to 80) in the telephone number directory and the subscriber names (and not necessarily their call numbers) being entered in the conventional manner behind these numbers for each initial letter. A switch in the telephone station effects the switch-over from normal to abbreviated dialling. The subscriber station is equipped with another key for temporarily storing a call number and with a key for saving the call number.
