PURPOSE:To prevent color shift due to the shift of the initial positional alignment of recording paper, by performing the positive feed of a recording process and the reverse feed of a recording paper initial position return process in such a state that a plurality of color ink sheets and the recording paper are inserted between a platen roller and a thermal head contacted under pressure in a superposed state. CONSTITUTION:The leading end of the first color of an ink sheet 2 and the leading end of the recording page of recording paper 10 are respectively aligned with the position where a platen roller 7 and a thermal head 8 are opposed to each other to be contacted under pressure. The thermal head 8 is selectively driven so as to generate heat, and a take-up roll 3 and the platen roller 7 are revolved to positively feed the ink sheet 2 and the recording paper 10 at the same time to record the first color. After the recording is finished, the ink sheet 2 and the recording paper 10 are reversely fed at the same time. Since the thermal head 8 is held to the state contacted with the platen roller 7 under pressure, the ink sheet 2 and the recording paper 10 are reversely fed certainly to be positionally aligned with the initial state. Next, the thermal head 8 is separated from the platen roller 7 by an eccentric cam 17 and the second color of the ink sheet 2 is positionally aligned to start recording. By this method color shift is prevented. |
