PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide photographic sensitive material having an excellent desilvering property by incorporating a specific bleach accelerator release type coupler (BAR coupler) into said material. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide photographic sensitive material contains the bleach accelerator release type coupler expressed by the formula I. In the formula, Cp denotes a residual coupler group which can make coupling reaction with the oxidant of a color developing agent, * denotes a coupling position of the coupler, TIME denotes a timing group, l and m denote 0 or 1, R1 denotes a bond group (preferably alkylene group of 1-8C), R2 denotes a hydrogen atom, cyano group, -COR3, -CSR3, etc. The BAR coupler can be incorporated into an arbitrary layer in the photographic material; for example, the silver halide emulsion layer and/or non-photosensitive hydrophilic colloidal layer and is more preferably used in the silver halide emulsion layer. |
