PURPOSE:A peptide having methionine residue (Met) at the 13-position of motilin substituted by leucine residue (Leu), having activity similar to that of natural motilin without causing deterioration in the activity by oxidation. CONSTITUTION:A peptide obtained in a large amount by linking plural genes capable of coding a peptide expressed by the formula, integrating the linked genes in a vector, inserting the resultant recombinant DNA into Escherichia coli to give a transformant, cultivating the transformant to produce a peptide polymer, collecting the peptide polymer and cleaving the collected polymer. |
