The invention relates to a sheet-gripper device for printing machines, in particular for sheet-fed rotary offset printing machines. The aim of the invention is to provide a sheet gripper device, by means of which local ghosting is avoided. The object of the invention, to arrange the gripper pads in such a way that the functionally required positional accuracy of the gripper pad is guaranteed permanently and can be adapted to the position of the individual sheet gripper, is achieved in that the gripper pad attached directly to the sheet conveying cylinder is arranged so as to be adjustable perpendicularly and parallel to the cylinder axis by means of adjusting devices which can be actuated independently of one another.
