A tensioning-wire holder consisting of stainless steel for fences, having a screw-on leg and an arcuate clamp. The technical problem is providing a tensioning-wire holder consisting of stainless steel which can be prefabricated on the post and permits the tensioning wire to be inserted without the tensioning-wire holder having to be released from the post. The tensioning-wire holder comprises a spring-steel sheet. On the first screw-on leg (2), containing the clamp (8), there is seated, with a rounded bent portion (4), a second screw-on leg (3). The two screw-on legs lie one upon the other in the fastening state. <IMAGE>
