PURPOSE:To enhance heat radiating effect at the time of recording and to enhance a recording speed, by allowing the hollow part of a cylindrical thermal head to communicate with the atmosphere to freely recirculate air. CONSTITUTION:Since the hollow part 15 of a thermal head 4 is formed so as to pierce through a cylindrical member 11 up and down, air freely flows through a hole 24 and the hollow part 15 as shown by the arrow in a drawing. Therefore, the heat ready to be accumulated in the cylindrical thermal head 4 can be easily dissipated to the outside at the time of recording by an air stream and, as a result, the heat radiating effect of the thermal head 4 is enhanced to make it possible to suppress the rising in the temp. of said thermal head 4 and the enhancement of a recording speed and printing grade is achieved. |
