PURPOSE:To obtain a color image having a specific color such as a neutral tint, a fluorescent color or a metal color difficult or impossible to reproduce by the mixing of the primary colors, by preparing a thermal transfer sheet provided with a specific color transfer layer having hue other than the three or four primary colors and using the same in thermal transfer. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer sheet is provided with a specific color transfer layer in addition to a thermal transfer dye layer of the three or four primary colors. As a specific color, there is a metal gloss color or white color not formed by the mixing of the colors of the three or four primary colors and, further, there is a fluorescent color having vivid hue as compared with usual colors. The specific color transfer layer composed of each specific color is provided on a continuous sheet at a section separate from that of the thermal transfer dye layer of the three or four primary colors. The thermal transfer dye like the fluorescent dye among the specific colors is formed into a fluorescent dye layer in parallel to the three or four primary colors but the inorg. or org. specific color pigment or dye having no thermal transfer property is mixed with and dispersed in various resin binders softened by heating to show adhesiveness to be formed into the specific color transfer layer on a base material film. |
