The centrifuge rotor assembly has a cover which lies at the inner side of the limit stop (3) without a force lock or with very little, when the centrifuge rotor is at rest, so that the cover can be positioned easily. At least one opening (13) is at the outer chamfer zone (12) of the lid. The peripheral sealing lip (6) is made of an elastomer material.
