A method of producing a coaxial conductor which completely encloses a signal conductor in a multi-layer ceramic substratum (MLC). It is based on a known process for manufacturing ceramic substrata from a raw material. After aligning and lamination (stages 7 and 8) of the individual layers, tracks are cut (stage 9) in the laminated ceramic substratum using parallel knives, where the tracks extend from one earth plane to a second earth plane. Thereafter the tracks are filled (stage 10) with conductive material and the substratum is compressed (stage 11) in order for the filling material to fill up the tracks. After pressing, the remaining stages (stages 12-14) are carried out in the known way.
