<p>The invention relates to a plant for separating fluffed pulp from foil material, comprising a treatment apparatus for opening the layer material which fully or partially encases the fluff, or for disintegrating this layer material into large pieces. The plant includes a pneumatic conveyor for transporting processed waste to at least one separator (7), which comprises a cylindrical housing (25) having an upper inlet (29) and a first and a second lower outlet (39,40) for fluff and layer material respectively; a perforated separation drum (34) which is connected to the upper inlet (29) and the lower outlet (40), an which defines between its outer wall and the inner wall of the housing an annular space (35) which is connected to the first lower outlet (39). Connected to the first outlet (39) is a first suction-fan means, while a second suction-fan means is connected to the second outlet (40). The two suction-fan means are arranged to act upon the material introduced to the separation drum in a manner such that the waste is moved in a helical path along the inner wall of the separation drum, and the fine-grain fluff departs to the annular space. For the purpose of providing the requisite balance between the flow rate and pressure difference between the outer and inner walls of the drum (34), the second outlet is connected to the fan (8) via a regulatable suction opening (42).</p> |
