Substituted hydantoin analogues of essential amino acids are used as nutritive supplements in animal feed compositions. Such compositions can be made by blending the hydantoin analogue with a protein-containing food material. Feeding the hydantoin analogue to warm blooded animals, including poultry, results in enhancement of growth and/or feed efficiency. |
