<p>This invention provides an expression vector comprising an isolated nucleic acid which encodes wildtype acylcoenzyme A:cholesterol acyltransferase-related enzyme I operatively linked to a promoter of RNA transcription. This invention also provides an expression vector comprising an isolated nucleic acid which encodes wildtype acylcoenzyme A:cholesterol acyltransferase-related enzyme II operatively linked to a promoter of RNA transcription. This invention also provides a method of identifying a chemical compound which is capable of inhibiting wildtype acylcoenzyme A:cholesterol acyltransferase II. This invention also provides a method of inhibiting the growth of a fungus.</p> |
