A microcomputer(1) receives a picture adjustment signal which is inputted in the initial stage from the key pad which is installed outside of TV set and outputs the electronic beam of colors like red, green and blue. And a driving part(2) controls the electronic beam delivered from the microcomputer(1) and displays it in the picture. For self diagnosis of the TV picture adjustment, first, carry out setting of the initial picture adjustment status then, according to the control signal provided from an external device, check the present value of the picture adjustment status thru the microcomputer. Further, judge if the present picture adjustment value is within the designated range of the initially established picture adjustment value. If the present value is over the range of the initially established value, a warning signal which informs the picture adjustment status has a problem is generated.
